The significant rainfall that fell in the Adelaide Metropolitan area last Saturday caused most clubs to close their greens, and consequently few Round 9 Pennant games were started/completed.

Completing Saturday Round 9

Premier League & Divisions 1 – 3

Round 9 games that were unable to start or were not finalised (Rule 5.9) on Saturday 9 December 2023 are scheduled to be played/completed on Friday evening 15 December. Playing conditions will be 21 ends with no mid-game break. Refer Conditions of Play Section 5 for further details on game procedures.

Pennant Conditions of Play allow for clubs to negotiate for games to be played at alternative dates/times, with the permission of MBA Match & Program Committee. Clubs are advised to have  Round 9 games completed before 13 January 2024.

Divisions 4 to 7

Incomplete games and games that were unable to start on Saturday 9 December should be treated as a draw (Rule 5.10.2) with game points shared equally & 2 shots awarded to each team.

Team selection & substitutes

Games in which there was no play at all on Saturday 9 December

Selection of teams for unplayed Round 9 games can be made from all eligible players who did not play in Round 9 (i.e., excluding any players who were part of a started game in Round 9) according to the MBA selection guidelines.

New scorecards can be used if necessary.

Games which started on Saturday 9 December but were called off for the day without being completed must continue with the procedures and restrictions applying to continuing games. Refer Rule 5.10 for further details on game procedures, including use of substitute players.
